Witnessing my father’s lifelong battle with psoriasis and steroid dependence, I was determined to find a better way
From a young age, Sarina witnessed her father’s painful journey with severe psoriasis failed clinical trials, decades of steroid use, and flare-ups so intense, he described them as a constant sunburn that never went away.
As his skin grew immune to treatments and the flares worsened, Sarina made it her mission to find a better way. She dove deep into the science of inflammation, determined to understand it at the root. Her path led her to explore the wisdom of Eastern medicine, the precision of modern dermatology, and emerging cannabis research all in search of something gentler, safer, and long-term.
Through collaboration with leading experts, she uncovered the healing power of plant-based ingredients and formulated what would become Phoilex’s signature anti-inflammatory blend powerful, steroid-free, and designed for the most sensitive skin.
The results were transformative.
Her father went from three painful flares a week to one manageable flare every few months.
This personal breakthrough led to a broader mission: obtaining a medical clinical trial through Health Canada and bringing these life-changing formulas to others. Because while chronic skin conditions may be lifelong, the suffering doesn’t have to be.
Today, Phoilex exists to make the journey easier. Through proven formulas, education, and a commitment to redefining what relief looks like.

Dr. Margarita Lolis
Dr. Lolis is a board-certified dermatologist at Schweiger Dermatology Group in Hackensack, New Jersey. She is fellowship-trained in Mohs surgery, cosmetic dermatology, and laser surgery. Her areas of expertise include skin cancer, Mohs micrographic surgery, cosmetic procedures, and laser surgery.

Phoilex partners with ITSAN (International Topical Steroid Awareness Network), which is the only global 501(c)(3) non-profit charity dedicated to raising awareness on Topical Steroid Withdrawal (TSW).
The charity speaks for the millions of people around the world who suffer from TSW. Through online platforms and advocacy initiatives, ITSAN facilitates a supportive community for individuals, caregivers, and healthcare providers affected by TSW.
